• Organisers and local councils have published extensive line-ups, including 50+ participating venues in both Coventry and Warwickshire and more than 80 sites in Wirral offering around 160 events.
• There are more than 6,000 no‑cost events across Britain, including access to places that usually charge, with some family entries at National Trust sites worth up to £55.
• Some activities require pre-booking via the Heritage Open Days website, and capacity is limited for popular tours, archive visits and backstage access.
• The 2025 theme spotlights architecture and built heritage, with regional highlights listed for areas such as Norfolk, Newcastle and the wider North East.
• Heritage Open Days is presented by the National Trust with support from players of the People’s Postcode Lottery, and linked programmes run across September in Wales (Open Doors), Scotland (Doors Open Days) and Northern Ireland (European Heritage Open Days).
