Herefordshire and Banbury Confirm Remembrance Sunday Plans for Nov. 9

Published programmes coordinate parades, services, traffic measures to honor those who served.

Overview

  • Banbury’s council-led event starts at 10am outside Town Hall and concludes around 2pm, featuring the town’s largest military parade, a service at St Mary’s, and wreath-laying at the People’s Park memorial.
  • Hereford will hold its Annual Remembrance Parade and Service at the War Memorial in St Peter’s Square at 11am, with the public invited to observe two minutes’ silence.
  • Ledbury’s Act of Remembrance and Parade will take place on the High Street from 10.45am, with an open invitation from Councillor Elizabeth Harvey.
  • Bromyard will impose temporary road closures on Nov. 9 from 10am to 12.15pm, affecting parts of Tenbury Road, Church Street, Cruxwell Street, Rowberry Street, High Street, and Broad Street.
  • Leominster’s parade begins at 9.50am on Broad Street, moves to a 10am service at Priory Church, then a 10.55am memorial at the War Memorial with wreaths and the Last Post.
