Henry Ruggs III was sentenced to three-10 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges stemming from a fatal DUI crash in November 2021.

  • During a Hope for Prisoners event in Las Vegas on June 17, Ruggs was granted a special release to apologize to Tina Tintor’s family for the fatal 2021 crash.
  • Ruggs’s vehicle was traveling up to 156 mph with a blood-alcohol level of 0.16%, slamming into Tintor’s car and killing the 23-year-old and her dog.
  • He pleaded guilty in May 2023 to felony DUI causing death and misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter, and received a 3-to-10-year sentence in August 2023.
  • He remains incarcerated but is eligible for parole in August 2026 and has expressed hope of returning to the NFL upon release.
