Overview
- Helvex inaugurated a new high-technology materials plant in Apaseo el Grande, Guanajuato, with a reported investment of more than 400 million pesos (about 20 million dollars) and an estimate of roughly 500 jobs.
- The facility adds 7,200 square meters to the company’s Apaseo el Grande complex and, at full operation, is projected to produce 650,000 pieces across four lines: Leaf, Spiga, Potenza and Quadratta.
- Production will center on Mexico-made faucets and bathroom accessories to strengthen local suppliers and reduce reliance on imported components.
- Helvex said the plant will use advanced alloys at competitive prices to expand access to water-saving products in the domestic market.
- The company noted it sells in 22 countries and manufactures 96 percent of its products and components in Mexico, underscoring a long-term, Mexico-focused strategy.
