Hello Kitty Island Adventure Launches Wheatflour Wonderland, Its First Paid Expansion

The sizable add-on introduces a near island-scale region built around Cogimyun with a new wand-crafting system and exploration challenges.

Overview

  • The DLC released September 18 on Nintendo Switch and PC for $14.99 and on Apple Arcade at no extra charge, with PlayStation 5 following on October 2 and a brief Switch delay in Europe and Australia to around September 23.
  • Players access Wheatflour Wonderland via a door in Hello Kitty’s cafe after completing the in-game quest “Potion Problems.”
  • The region is almost as large as Friendship Island and spans areas including Wheatflower Fields, the Citadel, Periwinkle Park, and the Critter Temple.
  • New systems include a Wand Forge to craft wands that break gemstone shields, enable transformations, and solve puzzles, plus new materials (Jemmies, Shimmersand, various gems), Noodle Grass recipes, and 10 additional critters.
  • Progression centers on befriending Cogimyun up to level 35 to unlock story quests, collectible comics, magical outfits, Wheathearts rewards, and new mini-games such as Find Ebi Fry and Catch Cogimyon.
