Overview
- Arrowhead deployed patch 6.2.5 (console 1.006.250) on May 29, adding broad upscaling support and multiple platform performance features for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series consoles.
- The update brings multiple upscalers—NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR and Intel XeSS on PC and platform-specific upscalers on consoles—with console upscaling enabled by default and PC users able to opt in.
- New latency and performance options include Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) on PS5, Variable Rate Shading (VRS), Dynamic Resolution Scaling (DRS), NVIDIA Reflex and AMD Anti‑Lag to improve responsiveness and frame rates.
- The patch fixes several bugs such as a manual-climb issue and rendering problems, but a large known-issues list remains covering IME/input failures, weapon and gameplay bugs, network desync and Steam Deck/Linux launch problems.
- Proton published a hotfix hours after the update to restore playability on Steam Deck and Linux, Nixxes assisted with platform work, and Arrowhead says it will monitor results and deliver further tech updates this summer.
