Helicopter Crash off Kauai Coast Leaves One Dead, Two Missing

Authorities continue search and recovery efforts following the crash of a Robinson R44 helicopter operated by Ali'i Kauai Air Tours.

The crash occurred around 1:20 p.m. local time on Thursday near the Na Pali Coast.
Hikers on the Kalalau Trail witnessed the incident and alerted emergency services.
One body was recovered approximately an hour after the crash; the search for the other two individuals is ongoing.
Multiple agencies, including the U.S. Coast Guard and Kauai Police, are involved in the search and recovery operations.
The FAA and NTSB have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.
