Helicopter Crash Near Miami Results in One Fatality

A Hughes 369 helicopter carrying two people from Fort Myers crashed into a canal about three miles west of Miami Executive Airport.
Emergency workers rescued both passengers from the wreckage, but the male passenger later died from his injuries.
The female passenger is expected to survive.
The identities of the victims and their relationship to each other have not been disclosed.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the Miami-Dade Police Department Homicide bureau are both conducting investigations into the crash.
