Overview

• A truck driver inspecting a broken-down lorry on the A1 near Rotenburg-Grundbergsee was struck and killed by another truck, prompting police to open a criminal probe.
• A Sattelzug on the A24 at Güster collided with a construction-site vehicle before breaking through a guardrail and plunging into the Elbe–Lübeck Canal, seriously injuring both its driver and a highway worker.
• On the A8 between Dachau and the Eschenrieder Spange, a sand-laden lorry overturned, blocking all lanes for hours while crews cleared spilled cargo and airlifted the slightly injured driver.
