Heavy Monsoon Rains Trigger Deadly Landslides in Nepal

At least nine people, including three children, have been killed in landslides across multiple districts.

A family of five was buried alive in Gulmi district while they were sleeping.
Two more fatalities were reported in Baglung district and another two in Syangja district.
Since mid-June, 35 people have died in Nepal due to landslides, floods, and lightning strikes.
The monsoon season, which lasts until mid-September, often causes deadly landslides in Nepal's mountainous regions.
Rescue operations are ongoing as authorities work to prevent further casualties.
