Heavy Lake-Effect Snowstorm Pounds Great Lakes Area

Areas south and southeast of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario have been hit the hardest, with some areas recording over 20 inches of snow.
The storm has caused numerous traffic accidents, including a 10-vehicle crash in Wales, New York, that seriously injured a 12-year-old boy.
Schools in Cleveland and other areas have been closed due to the severe weather conditions.
Forecasters expect the snowfall to continue through Wednesday morning, with additional snowfall of up to 16 inches in some areas.
