- Michael Kutryk, the Toronto doctor who owns the Muskoka cottage used in the Season 1 finale, agreed in late August 2026 to let Heated Rivalry’s crew film there for Season 2 after doing what he called “a little bit of soul searching” and naming a fee the producers accepted.
- Production for Season 2 began in Canada in August 2026 and has added multiple new cast members with the season slated to premiere in spring 2027 on HBO Max and Crave.
- Kutryk said he was paid far more for the return than he received for Season 1, and he reported small on-site changes by the crew, including a swapped mattress and a scratched table that he used in negotiating compensation.
