  • Khurshid was arrested on Saturday and remanded to police custody on June 3 as detectives probe missing cash and jewellery from the Special Cell’s Lodhi Road storeroom.
  • Audits and recoveries have pushed the estimated value of stolen assets above ₹1.5 crore, up from initial figures near ₹51 lakh.
  • Police allege the constable exploited his former posting to duplicate malkhana keys and carried out two separate raids within 45 days.
