Overview
- The facility launched on November 17 in Santa Clara as a joint HCLTech–Nvidia initiative dedicated to physical AI and cognitive robotics.
- Engineers will use Nvidia Omniverse, Metropolis, Isaac Sim, Jetson and Holoscan integrated with HCLTech’s VisionX, Kinetic AI, IEdgeX and SmartTwin to build end-to-end workflows.
- Nvidia’s Deepu Talla said the lab addresses the gap between simulation and real-world rollout by enabling development, testing and validation of complex autonomous systems.
- HCLTech described the effort as a path to improved productivity, resilience and sustainability in operational environments through robotics, automation, safety and operational intelligence.
- HCLTech cited current work with a major port operator, a global hi-tech firm and a European mining company as reference contexts for industry pilots and scaling.
