HCC Wins Rs 2,566 Crore Patna Metro Phase I Underground Contracts

The announcement sent the company’s shares up about 5–6% in Tuesday trading.

  • Patna Metro Rail Corporation awarded HCC packages PC-05 and PC-06 valued at Rs 1,418.3 crore and Rs 1,147.5 crore.
  • The work covers 10.67 km of TBM-driven twin tunnels and six underground stations on the Danapur–Khemnichak corridor.
  • PC-05 includes shield TBM tunnels, a cut-and-cover stretch, an underground ramp at Mithapur, and stations at Vikas Bhawan, Vidyut Bhawan, and Patna Station.
  • PC-06 provides an underground ramp at Rukanpura and stations at Rukanpura, Raja Bazar, and Patna Zoo, with architectural finishing and utilities for both packages.
  • The combined order value is reported to be nearly half of HCC’s intraday market capitalisation of about Rs 5,358 crore, and the company highlights ongoing metro tunnelling work in Mumbai, Indore, and Chennai.
