Overview
- Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout were chosen as Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley after more than 30,000 children auditioned.
- The supporting ensemble features John Lithgow as Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Snape, Nick Frost as Hagrid, Luke Thallon as Quirrell and Paul Whitehouse as Filch.
- Showrunner Francesca Gardiner and director Mark Mylod will oversee production, with J.K. Rowling, Neil Blair and David Heyman serving as executive producers.
- Production is scheduled to start this summer at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the UK.
- Each of Rowling’s seven novels will receive its own season and the series is slated to premiere in late 2026 or early 2027.
