Overview

• Ryan Cartwright will play Kyle, a regular customer at Stuart’s comic book store, while Josh Brener and Tommy Walker are cast as Trevor and Denise’s new boyfriend Gary.
• The new additions will join series regulars Kevin Sussman as Stuart Bloom, Lauren Lapkus as Denise, Brian Posehn as Bert and John Ross Bowie as Barry Kripke.
• Cartwright and Brener, who each appeared in guest roles on The Big Bang Theory, will portray entirely new characters rather than reprising their original parts.
• HBO Max greenlit Stuart Fails to Save the Universe in July and the production has now moved into pre-production with all ten scripts complete.
• The spinoff is developed by co-creators Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady with Zak Penn and produced by Chuck Lorre Productions alongside Warner Bros. Television.
