Hayley Erbert, wife of 'Dancing With the Stars' judge Derek Hough, has successfully undergone a cranioplasty surgery to replace part of her skull that was removed in an emergency craniectomy earlier this month.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Mai, who also performed the initial life-saving operation.
Erbert was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel after becoming disoriented during a performance in Washington, D.C. on December 6.
Hough has expressed immense relief, gratitude, and joy at the successful completion of the surgery, and thanked the medical team for their expertise.
The couple has been touched by the outpouring of support and prayers from the public, and remain hopeful and optimistic for Erbert's full recovery.
