Hayao Miyazaki's 'The Boy and the Heron' Lands on Max This September

The acclaimed Studio Ghibli film, marking Miyazaki's return after a decade, will stream exclusively in the U.S. starting September 6.

'The Boy and the Heron' is Miyazaki's first feature film in 10 years, both written and directed by him.
The film will be available on Max in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally, excluding Japan.
The English-language cast includes Christian Bale, Dave Bautista, Gemma Chan, Willem Dafoe, and more.
The movie has already achieved critical acclaim, winning an Oscar and a Golden Globe.
Studio Ghibli's entire catalog remains exclusive to Max in the U.S. under a multiyear deal.
