• The State of Hawai‘i’s transient accommodations tax will increase from 10.25% to 11% on January 1, 2026.
• Honolulu’s 3% transient accommodations tax and the 4.712% Hawai‘i general excise tax will remain unchanged.
• Aulani’s system will continue to display the 10.25% rate on room-only bookings made before 2026 and charge the additional 0.75% at check-in or checkout.
• Aulani package rates that include ground transportation or a Vacation Protection Plan already factor in the full 11% tax.
• Guests with affected reservations are receiving direct email notifications from Aulani and can consult travel agents for assistance.
