Hawaii Doctor Indicted for Attempted Murder of Wife During Scenic Hike

Two hikers intervened after hearing Arielle's screams, stopping the attack and enabling her escape; Gerhardt was arrested later that evening following a brief manhunt.
Arielle has filed a restraining order citing months of alleged sexual abuse, extreme jealousy, and controlling behavior by her husband, who remains in custody without bail.
