• Redshirt freshman Micah Alejado threw two touchdown passes, went 27-of-39 for 210 yards with 36 rushing yards, and directed the final drive despite limping after a second-half sack.
• Kansei Matsuzawa made three field goals, drilling a 37-yarder to tie with 2:01 left and the game-winning 38-yarder as time expired.
• In the first game under interim coach Frank Reich and GM Andrew Luck, Stanford lost a 20-17 fourth-quarter lead built on a 20-play, 85-yard march capped by Micah Ford’s 2-yard touchdown; Ford rushed 26 times for 113 yards.
