• Germany’s Lisa Tertsch won the elite women’s race in 1:56:50, beating Italy’s Bianca Seregni by 14 seconds with France’s Emma Lombardi third, to secure her first world title.
• Tertsch topped the season standings with 3,886.26 points, France’s Leonie Periault finished second with 3,577.04, and Britain’s Beth Potter placed third after finishing 16th in Wollongong.
• Olympic champion Cassandre Beaugrand did not finish the women’s final, exiting after fading on the run as early race leaders reshuffled the rankings.
• Australia’s Matthew Hauser won the men’s elite race in 1:42:42, defeating Spain’s David Cantero Del Campo by 34 seconds to clinch the overall series as the first Australian man to do so under the current format.
• Lauren Parker captured a fifth PTWC world title and later teamed with Jeremy Peacock, Maggie Sandles with guide Lauren Sprague, and Jack Howell to take silver in the para mixed relay behind the United States.
