Haunted Chocolatier Development Paused for Stardew Valley 1.6 Fixes

Eric Barone focuses on ensuring Stardew Valley's latest update is bug-free before resuming work on his next game.

Eric Barone, creator of Stardew Valley, has announced that work on his next game, Haunted Chocolatier, will be paused until Stardew Valley 1.6 is free of bugs and released on all platforms.
Haunted Chocolatier will blend elements of Stardew Valley with a Willy Wonka-like theme, but Barone aims to make it more of an action-RPG.
Barone has been working on bug fixes for Stardew Valley 1.6, already releasing patches 1.6.1 and 1.6.2, with 1.6.3 also on the way.
The last update on Haunted Chocolatier was in December 2021, and despite showing new images in late 2022, the game still lacks a release date.
Barone prefers to work in secrecy, aiming to keep the game a surprise until its eventual release.
