Overview
- The 2021 Hatz Bantam biplane’s right landing gear collapsed on touchdown at Sandusky County Regional Airport, sending the aircraft off the southern runway Tuesday evening around 6:45 p.m.
- Pilot Karl Honsperger, 78, of Fremont, was the sole occupant and walked away uninjured after being secured with a harness and wearing eye goggles.
