Hassan Jhangur Charged with Murder of Good Samaritan in Sheffield

Jhangur, also accused of five counts of attempted murder, to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on January 2.

Hassan Jhangur, 23, has been charged with the murder of Chris Marriott, 46, who was hit by a car after he went to the aid of an unconscious woman in Sheffield.
The incident occurred during a violent feud following a wedding of British-Pakistani teenagers Hasan Khan and Amani Jhangur.
Jhangur was also charged with the attempted murders of Ambreen and Nafeesa Jhangur, Hassan Khan, the groom, his father, Riasat Khan, and Alison Norris, a 58-year-old midwife and local Labour councillor.
Jhangur appeared at Sheffield Magistrates Court on Saturday, showing signs of a black left eye and wearing a cast on his right arm.
Jhangur was remanded in custody and will appear at Sheffield Crown Court on January 2.
