Hassan Jhangur Charged with Murder of Good Samaritan in Sheffield
Jhangur, also accused of five counts of attempted murder, to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on January 2.
- Hassan Jhangur, 23, has been charged with the murder of Chris Marriott, 46, who was hit by a car after he went to the aid of an unconscious woman in Sheffield.
- The incident occurred during a violent feud following a wedding of British-Pakistani teenagers Hasan Khan and Amani Jhangur.
- Jhangur was also charged with the attempted murders of Ambreen and Nafeesa Jhangur, Hassan Khan, the groom, his father, Riasat Khan, and Alison Norris, a 58-year-old midwife and local Labour councillor.
- Jhangur appeared at Sheffield Magistrates Court on Saturday, showing signs of a black left eye and wearing a cast on his right arm.
- Jhangur was remanded in custody and will appear at Sheffield Crown Court on January 2.
