Overview

• At a state-level Poshan Maah event in Kurukshetra, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated 64 new Anganwadi centres costing Rs 9 crore and opened 500 renovated facilities worth Rs 15 crore.
• According to the chief minister, supplementary nutrition now reaches 10.47 lakh children aged six months to six years and 2.67 lakh pregnant or lactating women.
• Haryana’s creche policy has 500 facilities operational—303 Anganwadi-cum-creches and 197 standalone centres—supporting more than 3,600 working women.
• The government has upgraded 4,000 Anganwadi centres into play-schools for three-to-six-year-olds, with 2,000 additional such schools announced for the current fiscal year.
