Overview
- The Haryana Human Rights Commission took suo motu cognisance on August 13 and asked for detailed medical and police reports, including the status of compensation and welfare measures.
- It directed the Superintendents of Police and Deputy Commissioners of Jind and Nuh to investigate, identify and apprehend the accused, and verify practices at the buffalo farm named in reports.
- The Nuh Child Protection Officer was instructed to prepare a rehabilitation plan that includes psychological counselling, continued education and repatriation to the boy’s family.

- The boy was found in Nuh by two schoolteachers with a severed arm, received first aid locally and was shifted to PGIMS Rohtak for treatment, with the next commission hearing set for November 4.
