Haryana Police Arrest Man in Murder of Congress Worker Himani Narwal

Sachin Kumar, accused of killing 22-year-old Himani Narwal, allegedly strangled her with a phone charger following an argument and disposed of her body in a suitcase.

Himani Narwal, a 22-year-old Congress worker and law student, was found dead in a suitcase near the Sampla bus stand on the Rohtak-Delhi highway on March 1, 2025.
The accused, Sachin Kumar, a 30-year-old married man from Jhajjar, was arrested after police investigations linked him to the crime through social media connections and CCTV footage.
Police allege that Sachin strangled Himani with a mobile phone charger during an argument at her Rohtak home on February 27, then stole her belongings and dumped her body in a suitcase.
CCTV footage shows Sachin carrying the suitcase with Himani's body, which was later abandoned in bushes near the Sampla bus stand; police have recovered stolen items from his shop.
Himani's family has called for the death penalty for the accused, while the investigation continues into the motive, with financial disputes and potential political angles being explored.
