Haryana Overhauls Lado Lakshmi Yojana With Cash-Plus-Savings Payouts and Outcome-Linked Eligibility

The revision keeps the ₹2,100 benefit intact by channeling a portion into government-managed savings to bolster women’s financial security.

Overview

  • From the second month, beneficiaries will receive ₹1,100 in cash with ₹1,000 deposited into a government-run RD/FD that matures within five years with interest.
  • Eligibility now also covers mothers whose children in government schools score over 80% in Class 10 or 12 or achieve grade-level competency under the NIPUN Bharat Mission in Classes 1–4.
  • Mothers who rehabilitate children from severe or moderate acute malnutrition, as verified by the Women and Child Development Department, become eligible under a category with an income ceiling of ₹1.8 lakh.
  • Existing age and domicile rules remain, and mothers with more than three children are excluded under the expanded social-development category.
  • Beneficiary lists will undergo community validation by gram sabhas or urban ward bodies, with assistance discontinued if a recipient is found ineligible during verification.
