Haryana Opens 131 Women’s Cultural Centers, Launches Empowerment Schemes

  • On Teej festival in Ambala on July 28, CM Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated 131 Mahila Sanskritik Kendras to host cultural and community programmes for women.
  • The Lado Sakhi Yojana was unveiled to designate Anganwadi, ASHA and ANM workers as maternal support coordinators with a ₹1,000 incentive for every girl child born under their care.
  • The Badhte Kadam Digital Bal Programme went live in Anganwadis to strengthen early childhood care and introduce digital preschool education statewide.
  • Under the revised state startup policy and a new state chapter of the Women Entrepreneurship Platform with NITI Aayog, half of all beneficiaries will be women-led ventures, backed by 10,000 DIY kits and targeted funding for traditional craft startups.
  • CM Saini released ₹14.26 crore in revolving funds to self-help groups, awarded artisans up to ₹3 lakh and allotted one ration depot per block to SHG-led women to boost livelihoods and governance participation.
