Overview
- Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will unveil the registration app in Panchkula as simultaneous launch events run across all 22 districts with senior BJP leaders in attendance.
- Eligible applicants are women aged 23 or older from families with verified annual income up to Rs 1 lakh, with a 15-year residency rule for those married into Haryana.
- Nearly 22 lakh women aged 23–60 are slated to receive Rs 2,100 per month, while those above 60 qualify for the Old Age Samman Allowance pension.
- The programme will roll out in four phases with on-the-spot registration camps, dedicated help desks for verification and grievances, and no cap on how many eligible women in a family can enroll.
- The state has set aside Rs 5,000 crore for 2025–26, and media reports say registrations begin Sept. 25 with payments expected from Nov. 1, subject to verification and exclusions for those already getting similar benefits, with medical exceptions for serious illnesses.
