Haryana Introduces Tax Relief Scheme for Small Traders and Businesses
The One-Time Settlement Scheme-2025 offers tax exemptions and penalty waivers to resolve disputes and promote economic growth, effective April 7 for six months.
- The One-Time Settlement Scheme-2025 was launched by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on March 23, 2025, in Kurukshetra.
- Taxpayers with disputes under Rs 10 lakh will pay 40% of the outstanding amount, while those with disputes between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 10 crore will pay 50%.
- Disputes exceeding Rs 10 crore require full payment of the outstanding amount, but penalties and additional taxes will be waived.
- The scheme will be operational from April 7, 2025, for six months and allows installment payments for settlements over Rs 10 lakh.
- This initiative addresses long-standing tax disputes, including pre-GST cases, and aims to foster a business-friendly environment while boosting state revenue.
