Haryana Formalizes Clean City Mentorships, Plans State Cleanliness Contest

Karnal, ranked third nationally for cleanliness, will mentor Siwan, Rajound, Ismailabad, Narnaund, Kalanwali following a partnership signed in the CM's presence.

  • Karnal Municipal Corporation entered an MoU with five municipal bodies to guide Siwan, Rajound, Ismailabad, Narnaund and Kalanwali on meeting set cleanliness parameters.
  • Sonipat has adopted five towns for mentorship—Hodal, Narnaul, Pataudi Mandi, Farukhnagar and Kundli—as part of the statewide model.
  • The CM announced a Haryana-wide Cleanliness Competition, stating a city ranking framework with defined parameters has been developed.
  • Union minister for housing and urban affairs Manohar Lal joined via video from Sonipat, and the CM said paddy procurement is running smoothly with electronic scales being installed and verified claimants to receive compensation.
