Haryana Establishes Natural and Organic Mandis in Gurugram and Hisar

  • Haryana will open dedicated natural and organic mandis in Gurugram for cereals and pulses and in Hisar for fruits and vegetables.
  • A pricing committee under the Haryana Kisan Kalyan Pradhikaran will set fair rates for produce grown through natural farming practices.
  • Each farmer will receive Rs20,000 for branding and packaging, and state-funded laboratories will offer free quality testing for organic produce.
  • The government will lease 53 acres in Kaithal district to natural farmers and reserve at least 10% of panchayat land for auction to landless cultivators.
  • Since its launch in 2022, the Natural Farming Scheme has enrolled 1.84 lakh farmers across 2.73 lakh acres, with over 10,550 verified practitioners on 17,087 acres.
