Haryana CM Inaugurates Rs95 Crore District Jail and Greenlights Rs288 Crore in Rewari Projects

It aligns new correctional infrastructure with water treatment initiatives aimed at restoring the Masani Barrage’s quality

  • Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on June 15 inaugurated a Rs95 crore jail complex in Fideri village that can house 1,000 inmates and includes modern rehabilitation and skill-development facilities.
  • The 50-acre facility features 11 barracks, a 30-bed hospital, an industrial workshop, video conferencing for court appearances and a community centre with a shopping complex.
  • Saini also inaugurated eight projects worth Rs193.94 crore and laid foundation stones for seven additional schemes valued at Rs94.37 crore as part of a Rs288.31 crore development drive.
  • New allocations include Rs50.58 crore for a Bhagwanpur water storage tank, Rs7.2 crore for a boosting station in Dungerwas, Rs5.06 crore for Gokulpur pipelines and funding for a public library and Market Committee building.
  • The administration unveiled plans to install sewage treatment plants to purify industrial wastewater before it enters the Masani Barrage for agricultural use.
