Haryana Clears Laado Laxmi Yojana, ₹2,100 Monthly Aid for Women From Sept 25

The decision operationalises a BJP pledge via DBT with an initial focus on low‑income women aged 23 and above.

Overview

  • The Cabinet approved the Deen Dayal Laado Laxmi Yojana, with payments of ₹2,100 per month to start on September 25, 2025.
  • Eligibility in the first phase covers women aged 23 or older from families earning under ₹1 lakh annually, with a 15‑year Haryana domicile requirement for the woman or her husband if married.
  • There is no cap per household, but beneficiaries already receiving higher support under nine named state schemes are excluded, with exceptions for serious illnesses such as stage 3–4 cancer and listed rare diseases.
  • The state projects roughly 19–20 lakh beneficiaries initially and has earmarked about ₹5,000 crore in the 2025–26 budget.
  • Payments will be disbursed via DBT through PFMS, with a registration app, SMS prompts, and publicly posted beneficiary lists subject to gram or ward‑level objections before finalisation.
