Overview
- The state will launch a Swachta Ranking of all cities on the lines of the Centre’s Swachh Survekshan, with top performers to be honoured.
- Swachhata Pakhwada will run from September 17 to October 2 with awareness programmes to drive public participation.
- Presiding over a review in Panchkula, CM Nayab Singh Saini urged a “Team Haryana” approach and told municipal bodies to resolve even minor cleanliness complaints quickly.
- He called for RWA involvement and CSR-funded beautification of roundabouts, while directing that no stray cattle remain on roads and that cows be sent to gaushalas.
- Saini inaugurated the Swarna Jayanti Haryana Institute for Fiscal Management building and announced support for gaushalas, including ₹89 crore in fodder grants to 605 facilities and 800 e-rickshaws under procurement, after handing over over ₹7 crore to 67 gaushalas in Fatehabad.
