Harvey Weinstein Undergoes Emergency Heart Surgery

The former Hollywood producer, currently serving time for sexual assault, was transferred from Rikers Island to Bellevue Hospital after experiencing chest pains.

Weinstein, 72, was taken from Rikers Island to Bellevue Hospital for heart surgery after severe chest pains.
He remains in the ICU following the procedure, which addressed fluid in his heart and lungs.
Weinstein's 2020 rape conviction in New York was overturned in April; a retrial is scheduled for November.
He is also serving a 16-year sentence from a separate 2022 rape conviction in California.
Over 80 women have accused Weinstein of sexual misconduct, which he continues to deny.
