The University of Oxford ties with MIT for second place, marking the highest rank for a UK institution since 2015, with both scoring 99.7.
The top 10 includes six U.S. universities, two from the UK, one from China (Tsinghua University at eighth), and one from Japan (University of Tokyo at tenth).
Indian Institute of Science (IISc) is the highest-ranked Indian institution, placed in the 201-300 range, alongside IIT Delhi and IIT Madras.
The 2025 rankings introduced six performance indicators to provide a more comprehensive assessment of global academic reputation.
