Hartlepool RNLI Rescues Hypothermic Woman From North Sea After Late-Night Alert

Volunteer crews launched within minutes of a coastguard call, completing a coordinated handover to paramedics at the lifeboat station.

  • The woman was recovered to the inshore lifeboat, treated for hypothermia en route, and brought to Ferry Road lifeboat station.
  • Paramedics from the North East Ambulance Service met the crew and transported one patient to hospital; no further condition update has been issued.
  • Cleveland Police and Hartlepool Coastguard Rescue attended, sea conditions were calm, and both lifeboats were back ready for service by 10:40pm.
