Overview
- Humber Coastguard alerted Hartlepool RNLI at 9:33pm Friday to reports of a person in the water near the Heugh Breakwater.
- Both the all-weather John Sharp and inshore Solihull launched at 9:45pm, with the inshore crew locating the casualty within minutes.
- The woman was recovered to the inshore lifeboat, treated for hypothermia en route, and brought to Ferry Road lifeboat station.
- Paramedics from the North East Ambulance Service met the crew and transported one patient to hospital; no further condition update has been issued.
- Cleveland Police and Hartlepool Coastguard Rescue attended, sea conditions were calm, and both lifeboats were back ready for service by 10:40pm.
