Overview
- A blaze erupted just before 3 pm on August 4 at the Usworth Road industrial estate in Hartlepool
- Fire crews from eight nearby stations initially deployed ten fire engines along with jets, breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera
- Two industrial units were severely damaged by the fire and several vehicles were destroyed
- No injuries have been reported and authorities have urged residents and businesses to avoid the area and keep doors and windows closed
- Cleveland Police maintains cordons on Jutland Road, Ormesby Road and Thirsk Grove while firefighters continue to battle remaining hotspots
