- Thai Randolph, who has been with Hartbeat for nearly seven years and as a CEO led the company to double in size, has decided to step down to pursue new endeavors. However, she will continue to serve Hartbeat as a strategic advisor.
- During Randolph's tenure as CEO, she orchestrated the merger of Kevin Hart’s two entertainment companies — Hartbeat Productions and Laugh Out Loud — to form the new entity, Hartbeat.
- Under Randolph's leadership, Hartbeat received $100 million in funding from Abry Partners which facilitated its expansion and production capabilities.
- Hartbeat released over 20 projects in 2022 and a further 18 projects in 2023, demonstrating the company's productivity under Randolph's guidance. Currently, Hartbeat has over 70 other projects in development.
- Prior to her CEO appointment, Randolph held positions as president and COO of Laugh Out Loud, and COO of Hartbeat Productions. In these roles, she led important initiatives such as Laugh Out Loud’s capital raise, its partnership deal with NBCUniversal’s Peacock, and launching Women Write Now, a pioneering screenwriting fellowship for Black women in comedy.
