Overview
- Pottermore Publishing and Audible have cast more than 200 actors for Harry Potter: The Full-Cast Audio Editions, the first major overhaul of the audiobooks in over 25 years.
- Hugh Laurie will voice Albus Dumbledore, Matthew Macfadyen takes on Lord Voldemort, Riz Ahmed is Professor Snape, Michelle Gomez covers Professor McGonagall and Cush Jumbo serves as narrator.
- Two separate trios portray the central characters across the series: Frankie Treadaway, Max Lester and Arabella Stanton in books one to three, followed by Jaxon Knopf, Rhys Mulligan and Nina Barker-Francis in books four to seven.
- Production is nearly wrapped after completing principal casting this summer and logging more than 2,000 recording hours complemented by original scoring, real-world sound capture and Dolby Atmos design.
- The unabridged audiobooks will release monthly from November 4, 2025, through May 12, 2026, and will remain alongside Jim Dale’s and Stephen Fry’s classic single-narrator editions.
