Harjinder Singh Dhami Re-Elected as SGPC President for Fourth Term

Harjinder Singh Dhami was re-elected as the president of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) by securing 107 out of 142 votes.
This marks Dhami's fourth consecutive term as SGPC president, a position known as the 'mini-parliament' of the Sikhs.
Dhami faced competition from Jagir Kaur, who received 33 votes, with two votes being rejected during the election.
The election saw the involvement of major political influences, including the AAP government, BJP, RSS, and Congress, according to Dhami.
The SGPC general house also elected other key officials, including Raghujit Singh Virk as senior vice president and Baldev Singh Kalyan as junior vice president.
