Overview

• On July 27, 111 students at the Jyotiba Phule BC Gurukul School in Uyyalawada, Nagarkurnool district, were hospitalized after suspected food contamination.
• T. Harish Rao requested the Telangana High Court Chief Justice and State Human Rights Commission to take suo motu cognisance of the latest outbreak.
• Rao cited similar food poisoning incidents and health hazards in hostels across Pedakothpally, Jagityal, Bhadradri Kothagudem and Husnabad.
