  • Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met representatives of all 13 Akharas on the Ganga ghat in Haridwar in a first-of-its-kind preparatory meeting that finalized the schedule.
  • Three Amrit (royal) baths were set for March 6 (Mahashivratri), March 8 (Falgun Amavasya) and April 14 (Mesha Sankranti).
  • State departments, including Police, NDRF, PAC, health and fire services, have begun early coordination on security, crowd control, traffic management and emergency response.
  • Officials outlined technology-led monitoring alongside waste management, drainage improvements and ghat cleanliness, with inputs from veterans of past Kumbh operations.
  • Akhara leaders welcomed the approach and pledged cooperation, while the government said attendance is expected to far exceed the 2010 and pandemic-limited 2021 gatherings.
