Overview
- The head-on crash occurred just after 8am on Wednesday, initially leaving one occupant trapped in their vehicle.
- Dozens of emergency personnel from NSW Police, Fire and Rescue NSW and Ambulance NSW freed the occupant and treated two other drivers.
- Two southbound lanes and one northbound lane were closed during the rescue, and although most have since reopened heavy congestion persists on the bridge and nearby thoroughfares.
- The injured occupant was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in Darlinghurst with back injuries, while the two drivers remain in stable condition.
- NSW Police are urging motorists with dashcam footage or information to contact Crime Stoppers to support the investigation.
