Hank the Dog, Beloved Milwaukee Brewers Mascot, Passes Away

Hank, who joined the Brewers in 2014 as a stray and became a fan favorite, died this Thursday.

Hank the Dog wandered into the Brewers' spring training facility in Phoenix in February 2014 and quickly became the team's unofficial mascot.
Named after Hall of Famer Hank Aaron, Hank was adopted by Brewers COO Marti Wronski and her family, living with them for the past decade.
Hank's fame grew rapidly, leading to appearances on national TV shows and features in major publications, as well as being named 'Dog of the Year' at the 2015 World Dog Awards.
The Brewers sold merchandise featuring Hank's likeness to benefit pet adoption charities, raising over $300,000.
The Brewers and Wronski family encourage donations to the Wisconsin Humane Society or MADACC in honor of Hank's legacy.
