Han Lee Sentenced to Four Years for Leading High-End Brothel Network

Han Lee, the leader of a high-end brothel network in Massachusetts and Virginia, was sentenced to four years in prison and ordered to forfeit $5.4 million in illicit earnings.
The network operated from luxury apartments and used sophisticated client verification methods to maintain secrecy while facilitating nearly 10,000 commercial sex dates.
Prosecutors argued that Lee exploited undocumented and vulnerable women, moving them between cities, while her defense claimed the women were well-compensated and not coerced.
Nearly 30 buyers, including professionals such as a software engineer and a dentist, are currently appearing in public hearings after being identified as frequent patrons of the network.
Co-defendants Junmyung Lee and James Lee, who played roles in maintaining the operation, are scheduled for sentencing in April and May 2025, respectively.
